FULL MOON BEACH MEDITATION AND RELEASE OF NEGATIVE ENERGY USING HEALING MANDALAS
On Thursday evening we spent a beautiful evening on the beach at Branksome in Bournemouth, celebrating the wonderful Full Moon. We used the Moon’s incredibly powerful energy to help us ‘let go’ of all our negative thoughts, feelings and emotions that no longer served us, and also to manifest all the wonderful things into out lives that we truly deserve.
We did this by firstly raising our vibration using Meditation, and anointing oils (‘Love’ and ‘Moon Energy’), followed by colouring in spectacular Healing Mandalas, filled with our words of release, and mindfully coloured with deep intention.
What is a Mandala?
The Mandala (meaning “circle” or “completion” in Sanskrit) has a long history of deep spiritual meaning and is a wonderful form of meditation. You can use Mandalas to attract positivity into your life, and to also release negative thoughts, feelings and emotions. Colouring Mandalas has been shown in clinical studies to boost the immune system, reduce stress and pain, lower blood pressure, promote sleep and ease depression.
Mandalas are found everywhere you look in nature, in flowers, the rings found in tree trunks, a snail’s shell, the ripples in a pond, cobwebs, snowflakes – they all reflect the mandala pattern of symmetry and balance. Wherever a centre is found radiating outward and inward, there is wholeness – a Mandala.
Mandalas are everywhere. They are the structures of our cells, our world, and our universe.
The very nature of colouring a Mandala is therapeutic and symbolic. The shapes and colours you create in your Mandala art therapy will reflect your inner self at the time of creation. Your instinct and feeling should inspire and guide you through the process of creation. So, whatever you are feeling at that time, whatever emotions are coming through, will be represented in your Mandala.
As with most art therapy, it’s not about the final product…it’s about the journey. When you reach your destination, you will have a representation of something meaningful and personal…a snapshot of you for a brief moment in time, expressed through your Mandala.
Program your Mandala with an intention
Decide whether your Mandala is to bring positivity and good things into your life, or whether you are choosing to release and let go of negative thoughts, feelings and emotions or old habits. Do not combine positive and negative in the same Mandala.
When you start to colour your Mandala, think about your intention or desire. For example, if you wish to bring love, or money or a new home into your life, think about what those things mean to you as you create your Mandala. The centre of your Mandala is the core – the main intention – so always start in the middle and work outwards.
Program your Mandala with the words you wish to attract or release, such as: Love, peace, harmony, joy, abundance, money, new job, success, health, fitness etc for positive wishes, or perhaps hurt, anger, frustration, jealousy, guilt, grief, resentment etc for negative release. Write these words within the Mandala, and even colour over them if you wish to. Or write the words around the outside of the Mandala. Either way, you are programming your Mandala with your intentions.
On our evening at the Beach we created two Mandalas:
The first was for our negative release – it is important to destroy your negative energy mandala (preferably by burning it) as soon as possible after completion, so we burned them on the fire, together with gifts to the Universe of fresh rose petals and beautiful Incen granules (Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh) in exchange for our wishes.
We then created a Mandala for our positive intentions – when completed this Mandala is kept where you will see it often, for as long as you wish. If it’s to attract more sleep, place it by your bed. If it’s to lose weight, place it on our fridge door. Why not frame it, and make a feature of it in your living room?
Happy Colouring! xxxxx
